The Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa pair has suffered defeat in the hands of Indonesians Nitya Krishinda Maheswari and Greysia Polii at the Sydney Olympic Park.
The 32 minute game was purely dominated by the Indonesian combo as they have made 21-14, 21-10 in the women's doubles second round for entering the quarter-finals at the Australian Open Super series.
Later the day, Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal and in-form Kidambi Srikanth will play their respective matches.
