D-Link to invest Rs 350 crore in Telangana

The global leader in connectivity for various business enterprises, D-Link, will set up a a global R&D centre a network training centre worth of Rs 350 crore in Hyderabad, the capital city of the state of Telangana.

The D-Link premises would create around 1000 jobs. The Secretary of Information Technology of Telangana government, Jayesh Ranjan and Yang Yao Chuan,Managing Director, D-Link, have signed an MoU in the presence of Telangana IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao in Taipei.

During their visit to Taiwan and Hong Kong for presenting the umpteen opportunities in Telangana in the areas of electronic hardware manufacturing, they have come to an understanding with the company.

"In 1990, D-Link entered the Indian market, and in 2001, we were listed on the NSE. Now, we have over 80 distribution channels and more than 2,000 sales partners in India," a statement quoted D-Link CEO Douglas Hsiao as saying.

Along with investing in the city, the company has to work together with the state government in the areas of Public Internet Access centres, Wi-Fi hotspots and other allied areas.

Recently, Google has accepted to invest 1500 crore for Asia’s largest campus in Telangana. During his visit to the US, many companies have come forward to catch the immense opportunities and vibrant features of the state.
