Pilot eject safely from crashed IAF aircraft in Budgam district of J&K

Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft that was on a “routine” training sortie crashed in Central area of Kashmir on Monday. Two pilots of the aircraft ejected safely before the crash.
Reports said that the IAF aircraft MiG 21 Bison, taken off from Srinagar airfield, has crashed in the fields of the Soibugh village of the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Colonel S D Goswami, Defence Spokesman, told PTI that “A Mig-21 Bison of IAF crashed in Soibugh area of Budgam district at around 10.59 AM but there was no loss of life reported in the incident.”
The pilot of IAF aircraft MiG 21 Bison managed to eject from the helicopter “just in time”. An army helicopter had retrieved him from the crash scene. The spokesman revealed that a court of inquiry was ordered to discover the cause of the crash.
