India to get more Tejas Type Trains, says Nirmala Sitharaman

Nirmala Sitharaman who is the Finance Minister of India has said on Saturday during the presentation of the Union Budget that by the year 2024 the development of 100 more airports will be taking place in order to support the UDAN scheme.

Sitharaman has said that Rs 1.7 lakh crore has been provided for the infrastructure of the transport in the years 2020-21, as she has presented the Union Budget for 2020-2021.

She has added saying that 1,150 trains will be running under the public private partnership (PPP) mode and also the development of four stations would be taking place with the help of the private sector.

The Finance Minister has also promised more trains of the Tejas type to be provided in order to connect to the tourist destinations. She has said that a proposal to set up a large solar power capacity alongside the rail track is being taken under consideration.
