Long-term relationship requires dedication from both the partners. Besides couples need to stay away from certain habits that are harmful to the relationships. Habits like nagging or being compared to the Ex can be harmful to the relationship. Here are some tips for good relationship with your partner.
Nagging
Nagging can be toxic to your relationship. So avoid being a nagging partner. Too much interference can be irritating and unbearable to a partner. It's ok to insist once in a while, but know your limits. Make sure that you don't insist beyond a point. Or else it could be destructive for the relationship.
Talking about the Ex
Your ex-girlfriend is the past and it's best to forget her. Avoid bringing up your Ex in your conversations as it will hurt your present relationship. If you keep bringing up your Ex before your partner, it will definitely hamper the chances of a good relationship.
Communication is the key
Communication is the life of your relationship. Pay attention to what your partner says, otherwise he/she may feels neglected. This will affect your relationship. Effective communication means talking as well as listening to your partner. Lack of communication will lead to death of your relationship.
Avoid comparison
Appreciate and respect your partner for the qualities he/she has. Love him/her for the person he/she is. Do not compare with anyone, not even in your mind. It can only affect your relationship, nothing good will come out of it. Your partner deserves love and respect for the person he/she is.
