India continued it unbeaten record in the first stage of World Cup 2015. The openers have started the match with strongest foundation as Rohit Sharma (64) and Shikar Dhawan (100) played to finish the match early. Their departure did not make any deviation from beating the Ireland, Virat Kohli (44*) and Ajinkya Rahane (33*) made it possible to wrap up the match in just 36.5 overs.

Before India's innings, Ireland has scored 259 runs in 49 overs. Ireland team's skipper William Porterfield (67),Paul Stirling (42), Niall O'Brien (75), and Andrew Balbirnie (24) have tried to put a larger target to India, but at the end Indian bowlers limited their Innings at 259/10 in 49 overs.

Stuart Thompson has taken both the two wickets. Man of the Match title was given to Shikar Dhawan.
