Samsung introduced its first smartphone with three folds, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, last year in certain regions, featuring a design that folds inward. Now it appears that Samsung is preparing to stop selling its smartphone that folds twice in the local market. This choice to cease sales of the flagship model in Korea comes just three months after it was officially launched. Earlier this year, Samsung also made the Galaxy Z TriFold available in the United States. This smartphone showcases a 10-inch primary screen and operates on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor. According to Bloomberg, Samsung is wrapping up sales of the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone about three months post-launch. A company representative noted that sales in Korea will be ending soon. It is also expected that the device will no longer be sold in the US once the current stock runs out. Just this month, Samsung’s website stopped indicating any upcoming restocks of the Galaxy Z TriFold. Now, it shows up as “sold out.” Meanwhile, discussions on Reddit and other social media suggest that some units of the triple-folding phone can still be found in Samsung Experience Stores located in Frisco, Texas, and Queens, New York.

The Galaxy Z TriFold was released in South Korea last year with a cost of KRW 3,59,400 million, which is around Rs. 2.2 lakh. In Japan, it became available in January of this year starting at a price of $2,899, approximately Rs. 2,65,900. This foldable device has a cover screen measuring 6.5 inches, featuring Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, it comes with 16GB of RAM and can have up to 1TB of internal storage. It includes a triple camera system on the back, with a 200-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. For taking selfies and making video calls, the Galaxy Z TriFold has a 10-megapixel front camera on both the cover and main screens. It also contains a 5,600mAh battery that supports 45W wired and 15W wireless fast charging.
