The first ever 2-in-1 device from Micromax called Canvas LapTab, which actually unveiled at CES 2014, is now available in India from 6th of this month exclusively on the Amazon India platform at a price of Rs 14,999. The gadget comes with a detachable keyboard and is said to be available in black case in India.
The screen size resembles a laptop (or notebook) as it comes with 10.1-inch WXGA IPS touch-enabled display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. The device is powered by 1.83GHz Intel Atom processor Z3735F and features 2GB of DDR3L RAM, while the internal memory is 32GB which can be further extended upto 64GB via microSD card.
The device runs on Windows 8.1 hybrid, which can be upgradable to Windows 10 and comes with one-year Office 365 personal subscription worth approximately Rs 11,798, which also includes 1TB of free OneDrive storage. Both the front and rear cameras are at 2MP only. The device can be connected to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3G.
The keyboard, which makes the Tablet as Laptop (here laptab), features a USB 2.0 port. The battery stands at good quality as 7700mAh can give good usage time, approximately about 10 hours. The 1.1 kilo device appears 210.8 x 124.2 x9.95mm in size and can be charged with any mobile charger as well.
With this Canvas Laptab, Micromax entered into large devices (PC) segment and is claimed to be an ultimate product from the manufacturer with good specifications.
