Internet sites have become home to porn content, which is a major concern of child rights activists and law departments in most of the countries. According to news item at least 5,00,000 porn images have been posted on Twitter everyday, but the firm is not at all paying attention to control the flow of such images and information.

Pornographers are targeting youth and children to follow them and their sites, so that they addicting towards the porn and related matters. Facebook and Google, consented to attending a high-level summit on how to tackle web porn but Twitter failed to turn up.

Campaigners for better content are accusing Twitter as "cynical, exploitative behaviour" and criticized it of being a coward by failing to act against the issue.

During his speech John Carr, of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety, said that porn has a "damaging effect" on many young children. He also said that the social media network has a huge responsibility and it is failing to live up to it.
