Young actor Nithiin worked with lyric writer turned director Krishna Chaitanya in Chal Mohan Ranga. Though the film bombed at the box-office, Nithiin offered one more film for Krishna Chaitanya. The film is titled Powerpet and is planned to be made in two installments. There are a lot of speculations that the film is shelved but Nithiin wanted to hold the project for now as the film's plot has resemblances with Sharwanand and Siddharth starrer Maha Samudram.

Nithiin signed a film in the direction of Vakkantham Vamsi and will go ahead with the project. He will take a call about Powerpet after the release of Maha Samudram directed by Ajay Bhupathi. People Media Factory are on the board to produce Powerpet. Nithiin will complete the pending shoot of Maestro and he will head for the shoot of Vakkantham Vamsi's film soon. Tagore Madhu will bankroll this project. Maestro is heading for a direct digital release very soon. Merlapaka Gandhi is the director and Nithiin's home banner Sreshth Movies are the producers.
