On Monday, the eagerly awaited teaser for Prabhas's film The Raja Saab was unveiled. Directed by Maruthi, this forthcoming Telugu film blends horror and fantasy and stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar. A select number of theaters showcased a preview of the teaser. Following a series of epic adventure films, Prabhas will portray a comedic character reminiscent of the boy-next-door in this project. The teaser presents an expansive haunted mansion filled with supernatural entities and a hidden treasure. The Raja, who owns the mansion, is determined to keep it free of occupants. Prabhas's character harbors feelings for Nidhhi, even referencing actor Shah Rukh Khan while declaring his affection for her in the Hindi version of the teaser.

The teaser features Prabhas in two distinct appearances, and Sanjay Dutt’s menacing role comes as an unexpected twist. Malavika’s role appears infatuated with him, but the story takes a turn once he steps into the mansion, confronting various ghosts. With impressive visual effects and stunning imagery, the two-minute teaser incorporates elements of folklore and horror. During the launch event, director Maruthi remarked, “The Raja Saab offers a unique blend of genres—navigating between horror and fantasy, reality and the surreal. At its core, it delves into emotions while enveloped in magic, enigma, and chaos. Premiering it in Prabhas’s hometown and witnessing such a strong response was truly memorable. This mansion is more than just a backdrop; it embodies the essence of the film.”

Recently, snippets and images from The Raja Saab teaser surfaced online, prompting the producers to caution fans against sharing them. They posted on X, “Any accounts found sharing leaked content from The Raja Saab will face immediate suspension and strict measures will be implemented….We urge everyone to join us in safeguarding the experience….Let’s celebrate mindfully. Please take note.” On Sunday, it was revealed that they constructed a 41,256 sq ft mansion for The Raja Saab, claiming it as the largest horror set in India. Initially set for release on April 10, the film’s debut has now been rescheduled for December 5th.
