BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi believes that information technology can radicalize India and that e-governance could actually be the solution to many of the country's woes.

"There is a great digital divide between rural and urban India. IT can address that. For instance long distance education can do wonders in the country," the progressive leader said, addressing a Nasscom conference in Mumbai yesterday.

"One fourth of the nation was connected via internet but much needs to be done in terms of training in the electronic manpower, a must since IT is an enabler for change.”

The Gujarat CM also laid emphasis on inclusive infrastructure and the power of software to benefit the country people.

“With IT we can track the healthcare and education progress of children,” he said, adding that perhaps one of the greatest solutions to India's problems could be e-governance

Lashing out at the UPA government again, Modi claimed that current leaders have failed to find solutions to address economy’s woes.

"Good governance has become a very heavy subject today and because of bad governance we know what problems we are facing today. Unfortunately, we have leaders who instead of providing solutions are further confusing the situation."
