Pakistani troops on Thursday night around 8.45 PM, violated ceasefire and resorted to small arms firing on border outposts (BoPs) along the international border in R S Pura and Arnia sub-sectors.

Three people were injured in the firings of Pakistan along the border outposts (BoPs). Because of heavy shells on the border hamlets and 8 Border outposts (BoPs) many houses were destroyed and military persons hid themselves inside the bunker. While, civilians faced severe problems while saving their lives from the shells.

The injured civilians have been shifted to Government Medical college (GMC) in Jammu for treatment. The injured were identified as 44-year old Bhole Devi, 41-year old Darshan Lal, and 20-year old Vicky Kumar; all are residents of Arnia town.

Pakistan troops committed ceasefire violations nearly ten times in this year and many a times people fled to safer places (hyperlink  )for saving lives.

As many as 4 people have died in the shelling and firing in first week of January this year and over 10,000 people have displaced.

Indian army foiled the attempts of infiltrations many times but Pakistan forces and militants of Pakistani Extremist groups are continuously trying to disturb peace in the villages near Line of Control.
