Government of Haryana has decided to constitute a high-level panel to investigate into the land deals during the previous Congress regime. Manohar Lal Khattar led government is constituting a panel to investigate all the land deals during the tenure of Hooda government, which may be headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice Swatanter Kumar, who is presently chairperson of the National Green Tribunal and is the government's first choice for the job.
BJP's Haryana in-charge and national general secretary Anil Jain said, “We are surely going ahead with formalising a commission to look into all the land deals.”

Comptroller and Auditor General in its report have attacked the previous Bhupinder Singh Hooda regime stating that "undue favours" were given to builders, including Skylight Hospitality which is owned by Robert Vadra. “The department neither at the time of granting in-principle approval nor at the time of formal approval for transfer of licenses ensured that net profit beyond 15 percent of the total cost has to be accrued towards public exchequer”, the CAG report said.

A senior BJP leader of Haryana stated that the party is in no mood to ease the pressure on land grabbers even if it is found that its own members or ministers are figured among the wrongdoers or would have collaborated with the Hooda regime.
