Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed at the cabinet committee on security or CCS that, nearly 100 terrorists are being prepped to cross the Line of Control and launch attacks in India. The fact was based on a report by the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
According to the sources, PM and the Home Minister was briefed by the NSA on the information collected from intelligence agencies, prior to the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security. The meeting held for the second time since soldiers last week targeted seven terrorist launch pads or staging areas in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
After India's action, the Pakistani infantry is protecting launch pads near the Line of Control or de facto border in Jammu and Kashmir, said the group, that consists the Home, Foreign and Defence Ministers. The locations of nearly a dozen launch pads have been identified, sources said.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased after the surgical strikes carried out on the intervening night of September 28 and 29 on terror launch pads across the LoC. Pakistan has intensified cross-LoC firing and shelling since the surgical strikes.
