DC’s much awaited league of superheroes is yet to release later this year, but the expectations of fans got boosted with the release of new trailer last weekend.
For obvious reason the trailer focused on Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash banding together to fend off an invasion by the alien general Steppenwolf.
Some fans were disappointed, as they were expecting a glimpse for the ‘Man of Steel’, though he is just dead for now.
However, if you are a huge fan of the DC cinematic universe, tried finding Easter eggs, but failed. Do not worry, as there were not much to look out for.
But, there is one interesting Easter egg and it is more about what’s to come after the Justice League, specifically a possible confirmation of a major Flash villain.
In one of the scenes from the trailer, Barry Allen visits his father Dr. Henry Allen, who is very clearly behind the bars. Though we are not told why? Every DC fan knows the reason that he was falsely convicted of murdering his wife Nora Allen.
The tiny scene is significant because in the comics, because Nora’s actual murderer is The Flash’s greatest nemesis Eobard Thwane (aka Professor Zoom) who is a time travelling speedster.
Professor Zoom is frequently referred as the Reverse Flash, because he possesses similar powers to Barry Allen, but is bent on murdering Barry's mother in order to spawn the fractured Flashpoint continuity.
While this connection to comics is not definitive proof that the Reverse-Flash will end up in Ezra Miller's solo Flash movie down the road, it's at least a very strong hint in that direction.
