Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad accused Congress party and their leaders of lowering morale of Armed Forces.

In a press conference he said, “There is a growing competition between senior leaders of the Congress party as to who is more vocal in lowering the morale of the security forces.”

On Congress leader Digvijaya Singh terming Pulwama terror attack as accident, Prasad said, “Has Digvijaya Singh reduced himself to such a low level that he will call the most heinous terrorist attack on 45 CRPF jawans as an accident? This is their thinking.”

He questioned congress leaders integrity said, “BJP would like to know is all this tweeting by leaders of congress on terror attack a part of conspiracy? Because whatever is being said here is being shown in Pakistan.

“Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi must answer…These three senior leaders (Kapil Sibal, Digvijaya Singh and P Chidambaram) who are repeat offenders are not saying in isolation. It is part of a great design with the blessings of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi,” said Prasad.

Earlier Congress leader Digvijaya Singh accused BJP for playing politics “Prime Minister some ministers of your government say 300 militants killed, BJP president says 250 are killed, Yogi Adityanath says 400 people were killed and your minister SS Ahluwalia says no one died. And you are silent about this issue. The country wants to know who is a liar in this.”

He added, “some foreign media have raised doubts over the air strike by our air force following Pulwama accident which is putting question mark on the credibility of our Government of India,”

Kapil Sibal tweeted, “Modiji : Is international media : 1) New York Times 2) London based Jane's Information Group 3) Washinton Post 4) Daily Telegraph 5) The Guardian 6) Reuters reporting no proof of militant losses at Balakot pro-Pakistan ? You are guilty of politicising terror ?”

Former Finance Minister P.Chidambaram said, “ As a proud citizen, I am prepared to believe my government. But if we want the world to believe, the government must make the effort (to explain), not indulge in Opposition-bashing.”
