India will not have to cross the borders in order to eliminate the terror camps in Pakistan instead it can be done from the country itself says Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh as the Rafale fighter jets in the air force got introduced.

The courage of Indian armed forces had been applauded by Rajnath Singh and he recalled his visit to France that was in in October which was  to receive the first of the 36 Rafale fighter jets at a facility of Dassault Aviation in the French port city of Bordeaux as he addressed the members of the Indian community at an event which was organized by the Consulate General of India at the educational organization, Asia Society.

“If we have to eliminate the terror camps, there will be no need to take the planes to Pakistan. We can do it from India,”Singh said referring to the Rafale jets that were introduced.

Singh replied to a member from the audience who questioned about his statement where he said, the next time he talks with Pakistan, the topic would be of Pakistan occupied Kashmir(PoK) to which he replied saying, “Baat kya hogi, PoK toh apna hai hi(what is there to talk about when PoK is already ours)” to which the crowd present applauded.

He said though the military strength of India is increasing, precautions will be taken when dealing with Pakistan. He added saying, India could have attacked the military and civilian areas in Pakistan if it wished to but, it would have resulted in increased number of casualties.

He said that, precautions were taken as the target was only to eliminate the terror training camps but not to attack Pakistani military and therefore not even a single civilian was killed.

“But we took precaution and decided that we have to target and eliminate only those places where there are terror training camps. Not a single civilian was killed and neither did we attack any Pakistani military establishment. We never want to attack a country’s sovereignty. This is our character,” he said.

Singh mentioned that, India wants to have good relations with Pakistan and referred to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister going to Lahore in 1999. “But what did Pakistan give to us in return - Kargil.”

Heads of State and government of neighbouring countries were invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his oath-taking ceremony in 2014.

The invitation regarding his oath-taking ceremony was extended to SAARC leaders, which included Nawaz Sharif the then Pakistan premier.

“This signifies the thought process of our Prime Minister. We should have good relations with our neighbouring countries…but how Pakistan behaves with us, you can see,” Rajnath said.
