20 Indian Soldiers Killed in Serious Clash With China In Galwan Valley

A violent face off raised between the Indian and China armies. In the battle, 20 Indian soldiers were killed and around 44 China soldiers were seriously injured, leaving a few to death. The clash in Galwan Valley is the biggest in the border line in the last 45 years.

The face at the border between Indiaand China killed and injured soldiers on both sides. Indian army says the clash started when "an attempt by the Chinese side to unilaterally change the status quo there"

China army says Indian soldiers crossed the border on which they reverted with action. Initially Indian army said that Chinese troops killed 3 of the Indian soldiers in which an officer is included. Later there is an update released late Tuesday that a number of soldiers were killed in the face off in the Galwan Valley.

In the same statement, the army officials said, 17 Indian troops were seriously injured and 20 died. China accused Indian soldiers of crossing the border on Chinese side.

The sources say that Chinese troops were about to disperse from the location as per the arrangement. It is reported that Colonel assaulted with stones which made the Indian soldiers attack in return. This made the armies disengage in the middle of the last night.

After the aggressive clash at the border, Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh including the military officials. The meeting was an escalation to discuss the border tensions.

In order to relieve the tensions at the border, the Chinese army moved back from the Galwan Valley. From Indian side, the troops stepped back the troops and vehicles from the area of violence.

The external affairs ministry of India said that China was going against the agreement to respect the Line of Actual Control which was discussed in the last meeting. The Indian army is very clear about all its activities are always within the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control. The same is expected from China, said the Defence Minister.
