PM Modi has scheduled to visit three different cities- Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad for vaccine review on Saturday.

PM Modi’s first visit is to Ahmedabad’s Zydus Biotech Park to review the COVID vaccine development. He reached the venue at 9.30 Am today. The drug maker Zydus Cadila says the first phase trials of vaccine were successful and entered into second phase trials in August.

Post reviewing the vaccine updates at Zydus Biotech Park, he will travel to Pune to review vaccine developed by Serum Institute of India. Serum institute is a partner with international pharma organizations Astrazeneca and Oxford University.

After winding up the vaccine review at Pune, then PM Modi will fly to Hyderabad as per the schedule for the day. He will get the updates on the vaccine status of COVAXIN by Bharat Biotech. COVAXIN is presently undergoing the phase third trials.

During Friday late hours, Prime Minister Office posted on twitter “Tomorrow, PM Narendra Modi will embark on a 3 city visit to personally review the vaccine development and manufacturing process. He will visit the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune," the PMO wrote on Twitter”.
