Domestic Airfares to drop down from August

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic left the domestic airline companies at huge losses. The operations are yet to kick-start on a complete note due to the low footfalls and the lockdown restrictions. The airfares are decent for the months of June, July and the Indian government announced a hike by 15 percent for the months of June and July. There is demand in air travel in the coming months after the number of Covid-19 cases saw a huge decline in the recent weeks. As per the update, the airfares are expected to drop down from August till October. Most of the airlines announced cheap airfares for the months of August till October to generate the forward booking revenue.

The airfares for all the major routes in India are dropped and all those who have prior plans of their travel can avail the offers. The cheapest return fare from Mumbai to Srinagar is close to Rs 15,000 in June and July. From August the return fare starts at Rs 8300. Spicejet, Vistara and Alliance Air announced monsoon sale and the prices are quite low from August to October. Some of them even announced one date change free depending on the fare category because of the ongoing pandemic. With lockdown restrictions lifted all over and people getting vaccinated, there are a lot of people who are planning holidays and travels in the upcoming months.
