The new cases reported in India yesterday are said to be 18,454. India achieved a rare feat after the nation completed 1 crore vaccinations in the country. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, the recovery rate reached all-time high and the active cases saw a huge decline in India. The active caseload stands at 1,78,831 and the recovery rate is 98.15 percent. The total number of cases reported for coronavirus in India are said to be 3,41,27,450 and the recoveries are said to be 3,34,95,808. The total death tally of India is 4,52,811. The total tests conducted for coronavirus in India till date are said to be 59,57,42,218. USA continues to be the most impacted nation due to coronavirus.

India celebrated the milestone of one billion coronavirus vaccine doses (1 crore) today and the government celebrated the achievement through a song. As per the reports, 944 million adults received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine in India and 31 percent of the eligible population received both the doses of coronavirus vaccine in India. The government is keen to vaccinate all the adults by the end of this year. There was a huge shortage for vaccines at one time but the government intensified the plan and wanted the manufacturers to produce more and more vaccines. At an average of close to 85 lakh doses per day, India is the first country to administer the huge number of doses across the world. The nationwide coronavirus vaccination drive started on January 16th.

Uttar Pradesh is leading the list with 12 crore vaccines given and it is followed by Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are at the bottom of the list among the vaccinations administered to the people. The country's largest Khadi flag will be displayed at the Red Fort on India completing 1 billion doses of vaccines for coronavirus.
