Former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry Dies In A Car Accident

Former Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry passed away yesterday afternoon after his luxury SUV rammed into a divider. Cyrus Mistry and Jahangir Pandole passed away on the spot and his car was overspeeding. Both the deceased were not wearing a seat belt. The accident took place at 2:30 PM. Cyrus Mistry was on his way back to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. The doctors declared that Cyrus Mistry and Jahangir Pandole were brought dead and they passed away during the transit. Cyrus Mistry had a head injury. Anahita Pandole, a gynecologist was driving the car.

The car was trying to overtake another vehicle and hit the divider. Anahita and her husband Darius suffered serious injuries and the treatment for them is going on. The airbags in the front seats saved them. Cyrus Mistry was the youngest son of Palloni Mistry, the head of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, a top construction company from the 19th century. Cyrus Mistry is a civil engineer from Imperial College in London and he holds a master's degree in Management from the London Business School. He entered into the business in 1991and he soon entered the board of Tata Group. In 2006 after Pallonji retired from the board of Tata Group, Cyrus Mistry took his place and he turned the Deputy Chairman of the Tata Group in 2011.

Cyrus Mistry officially turned the Chairman of Tata Group in 2012 and he was abruptly dismissed from the board in October 2016. Tributes poured in on the demise of Cyrus Mistry. His mortal remains were brought to Mumbai' JJ Hospital and the postmortem process was completed. Cyrus Mistry's last rites will be held today. Rest in peace Cyrus Mistry.
