Indigo employees to go on strike alleging harassment by the Mumbai airport authorities. Several media houses reported that 1700 employees are participating in the strike. There is no truth in the number, only 17 members are participating in the strike and Indigo is getting ready to take action against it. An FIR is filed on the employees for sabotage of the operations. Currently, the airline is carrying smooth operations.

Indigo ground is maintained by Mumbai Airport and Mumbai airport employees' unions are currently under Uddhav Sena. There was a conflict between the grounding staff and Indigo Airlines staff. National media reported that the tussle at the Mumbai airport was nothing but a political battle for power between Uddhav Thackeray and Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP). Both parties reportedly trying to take control of the Indigo employees.

An employee died on May 19th by suicide after harassment. National media reported that there is soo much pressure on the employees to surrender and forcing to join some other union. BJP leader Ram Kadam claimed that employees are leaving Uddhav Thackery camp and joining Ejnath Shinde’s Shiv Sena or some other party. Indigo has the highest footfall and this political game might affect Indigo's credibility.
