After a mid-air glitch, a Tata-owned Air India flight from Delhi to San Francisco has landed in Madagan. AI173 has raised an engine glitch and with no option left has landed in a remote town of Russia, Magadan. A replacement flight was sent to Madagan on Wednesday evening. People were stranded at Magadam more than 24 hours. Later all the passengers (216) and 16 crew members safely landed at San Francisco.

On Thursday Air India flight reached the destination (San Francisco- SFO) at around 00:07 hours (local time). All the passengers have provided the necessary assistance like medical assistance and clearances after landing at SFO.
Air India chief customer experience and ground handling officer Rajesh Dogra on Thursday responded to the painful travel of the passengers, which nearly took 56 hours to reach the destination after departing from Delhi. Air India has announced a full refund of the fare of the ticket price in addition they are also going to provide a voucher for future travel in Air India.
