The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), under the leadership of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, is gearing up for its Lok Sabha poll campaign with a significant public meeting scheduled to take place in Karimnagar on March 12. Karimnagar holds a special place for Chandrashekhar Rao, as it was where he held his first major public meeting during the Telangana Statehood struggle. At the upcoming event, the BRS chief is anticipated to announce the party's candidates for select Parliamentary constituencies, with former MP B Vinod Kumar likely to represent Karimnagar and former Minister Koppula Eeshwar expected to contest from the Peddapalli constituency.

In preparation for the elections, Chandrashekhar Rao recently conducted a strategic meeting at the party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan, specifically focusing on the Karimnagar and Peddapalli constituencies. He expressed confidence in the BRS winning a majority of seats in the Lok Sabha polls, citing the Congress government's failure to address fundamental issues such as water and power shortages, leading to farmer protests. He emphasized that the upcoming elections would primarily be contested between the BRS and the BJP, with the Congress losing credibility due to its inefficiency in governance.

Chandrashekhar Rao criticized the Congress government for not fulfilling its electoral promises and spreading false information about projects like the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. He urged party members to counter misinformation campaigns by working together and engaging with the electorate. He highlighted the need for the government to focus on addressing the people's needs and accused both the BJP and the Congress of repeated failures in fulfilling their commitments to the people of Telangana. In the run-up to the elections, Chandrashekhar Rao is expected to tour all Parliamentary constituencies, conduct roadshows, and spend at least two days in each constituency to connect with voters. He is determined to rally the party and counter any negative propaganda against the BRS, with a focus on showcasing the party's commitment to serving the people of Telangana.
