Telangana politician K Kavitha revealed her resignation from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Wednesday, just a day after being suspended from the organization. She allegedly cautioned her brother KT Rama Rao to be wary of their cousins T Harish Rao and J Santosh Rao. Kavitha was suspended from the party on Tuesday due to issues of discipline and actions deemed "against the party." As per the news agency PTI, she advised KTR “not to trust” the cousins and claimed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was looking into her father K Chandrasekhar because of the wrongdoing by those cousins. She further accused them of plotting to harm the family and suggested that Harish Rao financed a campaign to defeat her father and brother KTR in the Telangana Assembly elections. “KCR sir and KTR sir are my relatives. We are connected by blood… This connection should not break due to reasons like being suspended from the party or losing positions. Yet, some individuals wish for our family to fall apart for their own personal and political ambitions,” she stated.

As she cautioned KT Rama Rao about their cousins and BRS officials, she also shared her disappointment that KTR “did not show concern” when she raised issues and a supposed scheme against her within the party. “I informed him about the conspiracies and the misleading campaign against me. I asked him, not just as a sister but as an MLC of our party, yet he did not respond. He didn’t even reach out to me. This happened quite some time ago. As the Working President and a party MLC, I reported these conspiracies. Did you take any steps about this, brother? Did you even say anything about it?” K Kavitha added. Her suspension was revealed just hours after she made serious accusations against Harish Rao and Santosh Rao, claiming they were setting up her father KCR in connection with the alleged scam regarding the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. “It was Harish Rao and Santosh Rao who were in charge of important parts of the project. They gained a lot of wealth by misleading KCR. They are the snakes of corruption,” she claimed before her suspension.
