A 32-year-old man from Santacruz in Mumbai took his own life by drinking poison after allegedly being blackmailed and extorted over a personal video. The man, identified as Raj Leela More, worked as a chartered accountant. Once the situation became known, an FIR was filed at the Vakola police station. During the investigation, officers found a three-page suicide letter Raj had written. The police reported that Raj blamed two people, Rahul Parwani and Saba Qureshi, for his death. In his note, Raj explained that the accused pressured him to take money from his company’s accounts and deplete his own savings. The Vakola Police stated that the two suspects were charged with extortion and encouraging suicide. It was discovered that they were aware of Raj’s large investments in the stock market and his lucrative job. Through threats of making his private video public, they coerced him into transferring money from his business account to theirs. They also seized a luxury car from Raj against his will.

As per a report, the victim expressed in his suicide note, "To my dear ones, I'm sorry mother for not being the good son you hoped for; I'm leaving you alone. I'm facing the consequences of my actions. I hope God does not give you a son like me in your next life. I have been terrible; Poonam aunty, please look after my mother. I have insurance policies in different accounts, please take that money and give it to her.

I sincerely apologize". "I, Raj More, am ending my life today. Rahul Parwani is responsible for my suicide. They have manipulated and blackmailed me for months, forcing me to empty my savings and steal from my company's accounts. Rahul Parwani and Saba Qureshi are to blame for my death. A final goodbye, Raj More," the note continued.

Police representatives indicated that the pair allegedly extorted more than Rs 3 crore from Raj over the last year and a half by threatening to share a private video. The police have also obtained testimonies from Raj’s family members. His relatives informed the authorities that he had been experiencing significant mental distress for several months. Based on the information in the suicide letter and statements from Raj’s family, a case has been filed under applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
