Tata Motors has revealed its sales figures for the festive season. According to their statement, they sold over 100,000 passenger vehicles in the 30 days spanning from Navratri to Diwali, marking a 33 percent increase compared to the same festive period last year. The company mentioned that the strong results were driven mainly by its SUV lineup and electric vehicles.
The Nexon played a significant role, achieving over 38,000 units in sales, which is a 73 percent rise compared to the previous year. This model also maintained its title as the most popular car in India in September 2025. Following it, the Tata Punch sold 32,000 units, showing a 29 percent increase from last year’s festive season.
Tata Motors' electric vehicle lineup continued to perform well, with sales of more than 10,000 units, representing a year-on-year growth of 37 percent. The company indicated that having a larger variety of models in both cars and SUVs contributed to this success, leading to steady demand during the festive period. In response to the report, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., stated, "During the 30 days from Navratri to Diwali, we have reached a significant achievement with over 100,000 vehicle deliveries, showing a strong 33% rise from last year. Our SUVs are driving this success - with the Nexon (the best-selling car in India in September 2025) achieving over 38,000 sales, representing an impressive 73% increase, while the Punch reached 32,000 units, increasing by 29% year-over-year."
He continued, "Our electric vehicles have also shown remarkable growth, with over 10,000 EVs sold during this time, signaling a 37% increase. Our entire range of cars and SUVs has further bolstered this growth, emphasizing our dedication to product excellence, market significance, and outstanding delivery during this key festive season. Additionally, we believe that this performance lays the groundwork for the remainder of the fiscal year, especially as we prepare for exciting new launches this year, along with sustained enthusiasm from our customers."
