Realme has introduced its 16 Pro series in India on January 6, and it is currently available for purchase. This new collection from the Chinese phone manufacturer features the Realme 16 Pro 5G and the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G. Customers can buy these phones through an online shopping site and the company’s website, in three different colors, including two that are exclusive to India. The regular Realme 16 Pro 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor, while the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. Both models come with 200-megapixel main cameras on the back and include 7,000mAh Titan batteries. In India, the Realme 16 Pro 5G is available for Rs. 31,999 for the version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The models with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage are priced at Rs. 33,999 and Rs. 36,999, respectively. Additionally, the company is providing a bank discount of Rs. 3,000 or a trade-in bonus of Rs. 5,000 for those who purchase the phone on Flipkart, along with an extra Rs. 1,000 benefit for current Realme users.
On the other hand, the price for the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G in India begins at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while the more advanced versions with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage are priced at Rs. 41,999 and Rs. 44,999, respectively. The company is offering a direct bank discount of Rs. 4,000 for Flipkart customers. Existing Realme users can also benefit from an extra Rs. 1,000 off their purchase. The newly launched Realme 16 Pro series can be bought through Flipkart, the Realme India online store, and some offline shops. The Realme 16 Pro 5G is available in Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and the India-exclusive Orchid Purple colors, while the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G can be found in Master Gold, Master Grey, and the India-exclusive Camellia Pink shades.

Regarding the specifications, the Realme 16 Pro series includes a dual SIM option that operates on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. The Realme 16 Pro+ is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen that has a resolution of 1,280x2,800 pixels and can refresh at 144Hz, with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, peak brightness reaching 6,500 nits, a 100 percent DCI-P3 color range, and displays 1.07 billion colors. In contrast, the basic model features a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 1,272x2,772 pixels, a peak brightness of 1,400 nits, and a pixel density of 450ppi, while sharing the same highest refresh rate and color range as the Pro+ version. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, which has one main core, four performance cores, and three efficiency cores, achieving a maximum clock speed of 2.8GHz. It also includes an Adreno 722 graphics processor. On the other hand, the Realme 16 Pro 5G utilizes an octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G system-on-chip, paired with an Arm Mali G615 graphics processor. Both devices are rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for protection against dust and water.
For the cameras, the Realme 16 Pro series has a 200-megapixel (f/1.8) main rear camera and an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) ultrawide camera. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G offers an additional 50-megapixel (f/2.8) telephoto camera, which is not available on the standard model. Both phones come with 50-megapixel (f/2.4) front cameras for taking selfies and making video calls. The power source for the Realme 16 Pro series is a 7,000mAh Titan Battery. Additionally, both the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G support 80W wired fast charging. In terms of connectivity, both devices are compatible with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and feature a USB Type-C port. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G measures approximately 8.49mm in thickness and weighs around 203g, while the standard version is about 7.8mm thick and weighs roughly 192g.
