Chris Martin is trying to patch up his relationship with Jennifer Lawrence after the actresses cooled their relationship recently.

Martin and Lawrence have been dating for four months but Lawrence is believed to have been concerned about Martin’s closeness with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

A source told Grazia magazine: “Jen cooled things with Chris because she thought he was keeping his options open and wanted to have his cake and eat it.

But since then, Chris has been saying all the right things to Jen. He said he'd support her through the 'Hunger Games' tour and make her a priority."

Lawrence started dating Martin after she split from fellow actor Nicholas Hoult this summer. The couple met after filming X-Men: First Class in 2011, before splitting two years later. The couple rekindled their romance in the summer of 2013, before blaming heavy work schedules for their split a year late.
