Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara will soon be working together in a female buddy action comedy. MGM is partnering with New Line/Warner Bros. for the project. 

As of now the project is untitled but previously it was titled 'Don’t Mess With Texas' and had been in development at the MGM.

Anne Fletcher will helm the project. Script for the movie has been written by David Feeney and John Quaintance.

With New Line on board, shooting for the film will start this month in New Orleans.

The film makers have plans to release the film by May 8, 2015.

The story of the movie centers around an uptight, rule-book cop (played by Witherspoon). Witherspoon's character tries to protect the sexy widow of a drug boss (Vergara). The action comedy will see Witherspoon and Vergara race through Texas hounded by cops and gun-totting gang members.
