Elijah Wood has been cast in film "The Last Witch Hunter". The actor has joined actors Vin Diesel, Michael Caine and Rose Leslie in Lionsgate's supernatural action film.
Breck Eisner will direct the supernatural thriller.
The story centres around an immortal witch hunter (played by Vin Diesel) who collaborates with a witch to prevent New York City's covens from unleashing a plague in the city.
D.W. Harper and Melisa Wallackalso have written the script. Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama have written the screenplay from a pitch by Cory Goodman.
The film is being produced by Mark Canton, Bernie Goldmann and Diesel.
The project will go on the floor later this month.
Elijah Wood recently appeared in "Grand Piano" and is currently seen in the final season of FX's Wilfred. His upcoming film includes horror comedy "Cooties" and the serial killer drama "The Boy".
