Leslie Mann is likely to join the cast of Vacation. The actress is in negotiations to join New Line's reboot-slash-remake of the 1980s classic, starring Chevy Chase.
Actors Ed Helms and Christina Applegate are already on board in the classic 1980s John Hughes comedy. The star of the original movie - Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo - will also make appearances in the remake.
Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Dayare are in talks to join the project.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have written the script for the project, in which they will make their directorial debut.
The reboot-slash-remake will sees Ed Helms playing the role of Rusty Griswold, the grown-up son of Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase). Rusty Griswold will take his family on a road trip similar to the one his parents took him and his sister when he was a young boy.
Leslie Mann will play the role of Audrey Griswold, portrayed by Dana Barron in the original movie. The 'Vacation' reboot will show Audrey married to Hemsworth's character Stone Crandall, who is an upcoming anchorman.
Chris Bender and David Dobkin will be producing the project.
