Liam Neeson has joined the cast of 'Ted 2'. The Oscar-nominated actor will feature in the upcoming star-studded comedy.

Seth MacFarlane will direct the comedy sequel 'Ted 2'. The sequel 'Ted 2' will see Liam Neeson and Seth MacFarlane working together again.

MacFarlane's twitter post on Wednesday confirmed that he will be returning to helm the project. He will also co-write the script and give voice to the title character.

MacFarlane also confirmed that Neeson and Morgan Freeman had been shooting for the film this week.

'Ted' had released in June 2012 and had been a major grosser collecting $549.4 million worldwide.

Liam Neeson's upcoming films include 'A Walk Among the Tombstones'. Neeson and MacFarlane had earlier worked together in 'A Million Ways to Die in the West', that had flopped.

Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried are starring in 'Ted 2'. The film will release on June 26, 2015.
