Acts committed under the influence of alcohol are not always amusing. A drunk man realized that it's not ok to steal a pricey nude portrait from a hotel's toilet after being asked to write as punishment: ‘I will not get drunk at a wedding and go steal the naked picture of a woman on a cigar over the urinal in the Citizen Hotel.’

The wedding guest put the expensive portrait, featuring a nude woman sitting on a cigar, into his bag and walked out of the hotel. However, he was tracked down through Google and LinkedIn, and asked to return the hotel's property. Barent Larkin, manager Citizen Hotel, in Sacramento, California, zeroed upon the culprit through CCTV footage.

According to Larkin, the drunken thief sounded genuinely sorry for his act, said it was a mistake committed in the haze of alcohol. So the hotel didn't hand him over to police and made him write the sentences as punishment. Now the hotel has plans to reinstall the nude portrait alongside the apology note of the thieve.
