One Sikh man and 3 Muslim men throws out from an American airline flight due to their appearance. The flight captain claimed that, their appearance was too Muslim and made him uneasy. They have filed $9 million lawsuit against the airline.

A Sikh- Shan Anand,  Faimul Alam, a Bangladeshi Muslim and an Arab Muslim  were boarded on  the flight 44718 from Toronto to New York during last month. They were ordered  off the flight due to their appearance, race and colour. The Bangladeshi Muslim and Arab Muslim  were comfortable to be identified by their initials W.H. and M.K.

Shan Anand and Faimul Alam, paid $75 for the tickets of the flight, while another two pals paid $70 before boarding,  to upgrade their seats from economy to business class. They switched their seats with the other fellow passengers, so that, they can sit near to their friends.

After some time, a female attendant ordered W.H. to get off the flight. W.H., a fashion designer said Daily News,  that, “I thought it was an evacuation or something, so I didn’t think nothing of it, but then she told me to take my bags, and when I went back into the plane I saw I was the only one standing.”  The attendant also asked M.K. to leave the flight. Alam said that, “Then we were asked to get our belongings to get off the aircraft.” He is a general contractor and runs his own construction company.

Tahanie Aboushi, their representative, said that, “They were told to ‘just be peaceful,’ making it seem like they were a threat, making other passengers uncomfortable and wanting to get off the flight.”

W.H. said that, “the stewardess and the captain felt uneasy with us,  being on the flight, there were inconsistencies of our behavior traveling as a group, because two of us upgraded and two of us didn’t.” “They didn’t cite any basis of inappropriate or boisterous behavior; their situation wasn’t a security issue or threat, it’s the plaintiffs’ position that the reason they were taken off the flight is because this is blatant discrimination,” he added
