The preparations for the second International Yoga Day is on full swings in Texas cities. Yoga enthusiasts are all set to roll out their mats to bend and twist their bodies in complex postures to celebrate the Yoga day tomorrow.
The event is scheduled to be organized by Consulate General of India in association with Pralaya Yoga Studio, with the support of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Hindu Swayam Sevak Sangh, Hindus of Greater Houston,VYASA Houston, Samskriti, Center for Indian Performing Arts, Sanathan Hindu Center, Ekal Vidyalaya, India House, ISHA Foundation, Ismaili Council, Art of Living, SEWA , Sri Meenakshi Temple Society and Texas Yoga Association on 21 June 2016 at the Discovery Green in Downtown.
The PTI reported that, Consul General of India Anupam Ray, said that, "It is our pleasure to bring together a large number of diverse Houstonians and institutions for celebrating the annual International Yoga Day in a befitting manner."
"I encourage all Houstonians to perform Yoga and actively participate in this event with interactive Yoga sessions and 'Yoga fair' to spread the message of Yoga for peace and harmony," Ray said.
Other events will also held in other major Texas cities, including Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas state Capitol and Austin state Capitol.
