Without being affected by the unfavorable weather conditions, scores of Indian Americans flocked Houston’s NRG Stadium to catch a glimpse and hear Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, on Sunday.
From youngsters to elderly Indian Americans, the event organized by community group Texas India Forum was attended by over 50,000 people.
The vitality at the venue was plain to see event after crowd waited for over two hours for PM Modi and President Donald Trump to appear on the stage. With waving Indian flags and donning ‘NaMo’ (Narendra Modi) jerseys, the crowd chanted “Modi, Modi” and “Bharat maata ki jai” (Hail Mother India).
