As the ruling BJP (NDA) is having poor strength in Rajya Sabha, it may go for a Joint parliament session after the Joint parliamentary committee’s opinion.
So far the ordinance was promulgated twice, but the government is unable get support from various parties, in fact the PM and his party facing severe criticism over their pro-corporate move.

When the bill was being referred to a Joint parliamentary committee, Government has expressed that it would go for re-promulgation of the ordinance for the third time.

Union Minister for Rural Development, Birender Singh, replied to a question raised by the media on the re-promulgation of the ordinance on Land Acquisition that 13 legislations would be inserted to 2013 Land Acquisition act in this fresh ordinance.
