The separatist leader and Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi’s residence has been raided by the Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday.
Asiya booked for hoisting Pakistani flags
Recently Asiya was booked for hoisting Pakistani flags on Pakistan’s Independence Day i.e. 14 August on the outskirts of Srinagar in Bachpora area. Earlier, on March 23, Asiya was booked for hoisting Pakistani flag. However, she was not arrested then.
After the case was registered against Asiya at Nowhatta police station in Srinagar, she said: "I did not hoist the Pakistani flag on Indian soil but on the soil of Jammu & Kashmir, which is a disputed territory and not a part of India.”
In a similar offence, Musarat Alam, a separatist, was arrested on April 15 for being booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
In the meantime, Yasin Malik, another separatist leader, was also arrested and taken to Maisuma Police station in Srinagar. Three Kashmiri separatist leaders who were put under house arrests are freed now.
Pakistan invited separatist leaders to a 'reception party' for meet with Sartaj Aziz at the Pakistani embassy in Delhi. All the moves from Indian Government comes after this invitation. Sartaj Aziz is Pakistan’s national security advise.
