Passenger onboard SpiceJet flight Suspected of Coronavirus

A passenger who was on board a SpiceJet flight which was from Bangkok to Delhi has been suspected of having infected with the deadly coronavirus. The person who was suspected has been quarantined after he had landed at the airport in Delhi.

A spokesperson of the SpiceJet has said that on the 13th of February, a passenger who was travelling on the SpiceJet flight SG-88 which was said to be operating between Bangkok and Delhi, was suspected of being infected by the coronavirus which is now named as COVID- 19.

The passenger had been quarantined after landing in Delhi by the Airport Health Organization (APHO).

Earlier, a study has been made regarding the list of countries that are more likely to import the cases of the deadly COVID- 19 by a team of researchers from the Humboldt University in Germany. It has been stated that India ranks in the 17th position among the list of countries.

The relative import risk of the deadly coronavirus for India has been found to be 0.219 per cent based on the study that was conducted by analysing the patterns of the sir traffic which connected 4,000 airports across the world and with over 25,000 direct connections between them.

The death toll in the outbreak of the China’s novel coronavirus has increased up to 1,369 and the cases that have been confirmed as being infected with the deadly coronavirus has risen up to 60,347.

The Wuhan city of China is said to be the epicenter of the disease and the coronavirus had been spread to various countries where as the first death regarding the coronavirus has been recorded in Philippines. It is said that the coronavirus has spread across 25 countries.

India has confirmed three cases of the deadly COVID- 19 and all the three cases have been recorded in Kerala.
