The new wave of coronavirus is sliding slowly in the country. The new tally of coronavirus cases dipped down below the 50,000 mark. A total number of 50,848 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total tally of coronavirus cases crossed the 3 crore mark and are said to reach 3,00,28,709. A total number of 68,818 discharges are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries stands at 2,89,94,855. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, a total number of 1358 people passed away in the country taking the total deaths to 3,90,660. There are 6,43,194 active cases of coronavirus in the country for now. The recovery rate in India climbed to 96.56 percent and the positivity rate reached 2.67 percent as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry.

Bharat Biotech will attend the pre-submission meet for the emergency use of Covaxin by the World Health Organization (WHO) today. The Union Health Ministry said that more than 29.68 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines are provided to the states and the union territories and more than 1.92 crore doses are available with the states. India is said to have reported 40 Delta Plus variant cases of coronavirus in the country from the states of Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. After 88 lakh people got vaccinated on Monday, the total number of people who took the vaccination shot on Tuesday are said to be 54.22 lakhs. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested in India in the last 24 hours are said to be 19,01,056 and the samples tested in total in the country are said to be 39,59,73,198.
