For would-be moms who don't want their little ones to suffer from peanut allergy when they grow up, munching on kernels during pregnancy might do your children bucket loads of good.

Peanut allergy, as we all know, comes with painful conditions like breathing problems and sometimes can even result in fatal anaphylactic shock.

Previously, mothers-to-be were advised to avoid peanuts if there was a history of allergies in the family. However, doctors now have discovered that there is very little damaging effects in peanuts and unless the mother is sensitive to peanuts, they are unlikely to pass on the same to their newborn babies.

Mothers who ate peanuts five times a week had lowest risk of passing on an allergy.
