The old beliefs of relationships like never propose to a man, never hit the sack on your first date or opposites attract have proved to be wrong. Relationship between a man and woman works when they are on the same page and have similar value system. Here are a few myths that have no relation with success or failure of relationships.
Avoid sex on first date
Most dating rules suggest that you should not have sex on the first date with a man. This has proved to be wrong. According to studies it has been found that within few moments of having met a girl a man decides whether he wants a long-term relationship with her. So the concept that any chance you might have had of a future together was killed by the sex on your first date is baseless. In case he fails to call you after the intimacy on the first date it means he would have done so anyway as he realized that it won't work between the two of you.
Opposites attract
No doubt opposites attract but it does not work for long in relationships. What attracted you initially might irritate you later. Studies reveal that relationships are best and long-lasting between partners who share similar tastes and ideology. That way the friction between them is less and they are content with each other. Since both of you love to do similar activities, it would be easy to zero down on a holiday destination or to spend a day out doing an activity that both appreciate.
Marriage means end of sex life
This is another myth that is totally wrong. In fact married couples have an active sex life, which is much more than live-in couples or singles. So marriage does not mean your sex life will suffer.
