The path not travelled seems to be better always. Marriage or relationship is a game of chance that may work or may not depending on the spouses and the environment factors around them. To understand what works and what doesn't Huffington Post asked women about their regrets over their failed marriage or relationship.

A particular women regretted that she had settled for less than what she deserved. She felt that for the sake of their marriage she had tried to justify her husband's intolerable behavior, and had also forgiven things that were not excusable. Another woman regretted her love-less marriage and said that she had craved for her partner's love even though he repetedly pushed her away.

Some other marriage regrets turned out to be rushing into marriage, not trying hard enough to make the marriage work, having joint bank accounts instead of having separate accounts, marrying a person who couldn't hold on to relations and becoming complacent were some of the biggest regrets.
