It's final! Sachin's final wish has been granted! The God of Cricket will now play the final match of his career at the Wankhede Stadium, the very place where he made his cricketing debut in first class cricket eons ago.
Wankhede Stadium has been picked as the venue for Tendulkar's 200th and final Test by the BCCI's Programmes and Fixtures committee. The “Master Blaster” will now play the West Indies team on his his home ground.
"The committee, headed by Rajiv Shukla, finalised the schedule of the hastily-arranged series comprising two Tests and three one-dayers."
The BCCI has also planned a lavish farewell for Tendulkar. “The board had squeezed in the home series against the West Indies to give Tendulkar an opportunity to retire in front of his home fans,” wrote the Times of India.
Tendulkar announced his decision to quit Test cricket last week, bringing a closure to the strong speculation about his future.
