Yesterday's match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils turned out to be redemption match for Yuvraj Singh, who was booed down big time post his debacle performance at World Twenty20 finals against Sri Lanka early this month.
Silencing his naysayers, the left handed RCB batsman roared back to top form as he hit three boundaries and five sixes in his 29-ball unbeaten knock, defeating DD by eight wickets in the IPL opening in Sharjah on Thursday evening.
Yuvraj Singh, in the august company of Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli, looks confident and is expected to do wonders for the RCB this IPL.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, RCB captain has gone on record to claim that Yuvraj Singh is the X-factor of the team this year. He said that the players, including Yuvraj Singh, are thrilled to play for the franchise. With a 14 crore price tag to defend, it's not easy for any cricketer to go out and have a cakewalk in the pitch. But thanks to the supportive team and relaxing environment within the set up, the cricketers seem all buoyed up to deliver their best this season.
Will the supercharged RCB lift the IPL trophy this season? Let us know your minds.
