Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S26 series during the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25. While we anticipate this major launch, Samsung has released a new teaser video on YouTube highlighting the Privacy Display function, which is probably making its first appearance on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The 15-second video shows how the Privacy Display feature will operate on the upcoming Ultra model. This feature aims to prevent others from seeing what is on the screen in busy locations.

The South Korean company has uploaded a teaser on YouTube demonstrating the Privacy Display function. The video features two people on a metro train attempting to look at another passenger's Samsung Galaxy S26 series smartphone screen. The phone's owner then activates a "zero-peeking privacy" option, which stops the bystanders from seeing the screen’s content from the sides. The video concludes with the phrase “Can your phone do that? ” along with the launch date of February 25, confirming the release of the Galaxy S26 series on that date.

Samsung has previously hinted at the Privacy Display feature aimed at stopping shoulder surfing. This is anticipated to be a significant enhancement for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It will work similarly to privacy screen protectors and filters used on laptops. The display should look regular from the front but be darkened from the sides. This is expected to be helpful for viewing confidential details such as pins and OTPs in public spaces like packed buses or elevators. The Privacy Display feature is likely to be specific to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Users will have the option to customize it by dimming notifications or particular apps. A recent leak suggested that Apple might adopt this feature for their MacBook series by 2029. This feature can likely be activated through the Settings app or a toggle in the Quick Panel. It may need Samsung Display's Flex Magic Pixel technology. The Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled to take place in San Francisco, California, on February 25. The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra models are anticipated to be unveiled at this event.
