The Vivo V70 series was introduced in India on Thursday, and it consists of the Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 smartphones. These new phones will be available for purchase in the country shortly through an online shopping site and the brand’s official website. The Elite version will come in three colors, while the standard version will be offered in two colors. Both the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite are equipped with a large 6,500mAh battery and utilize a Snapdragon processor. Each phone features three cameras on the back, with a 50-megapixel main camera as the highlight. The starting price for the Vivo V70 Elite in India is Rs. 51,999 for the entry-level version, which includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The more advanced configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at Rs. 56,999. The highest-spec option, which offers 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage, sells for Rs. 61,999. In contrast, the Vivo V70 is priced at Rs. 45,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant and Rs. 49,999 for the 12GB+256GB option. The company is providing up to 10 percent cashback for purchases made with SBI, HDFC Bank, and Yes Bank cards.

The new Vivo smartphones are set to start selling in India on February X through Flipkart and the Vivo official store. The Vivo V70 Elite comes in three colors: Authentic Black, Passion Red, and Sand Beige. The Vivo V70 is available in Lemon Yellow and Passion Red. Both the Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 support dual SIM and operate on Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The company guarantees six years of security updates for these devices. Each phone features a 6.59-inch VM9 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260x2,750 pixels, supporting a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, a pixel density of 459 ppi, and a P3 wide color gamut. Vivo claims that these phones have IP68 + IP69 ratings for resistance against dust and water. The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with a peak clock speed of 3GHz. It offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 uses an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC that runs at 2.8GHz, along with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.

For taking pictures, the Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 come with specially adjusted triple rear cameras from Zeiss. They both have a main 50-megapixel camera (f/1.88) that includes optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel Super Telephoto camera (f/2.65) with OIS, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2). The front cameras on these devices are also 50-megapixels (f/2.0), perfect for selfies and video chats. These smartphones can record videos in up to 4K quality. The Vivo V70 Elite and V70 are powered by 6,500mAh batteries and support quick 90W wired charging. Both phones have dimensions of 157.52×74.33×7.59mm and weigh around 194g each. The Vivo V70 Elite is equipped with various sensors, including an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, an e-compass, a proximity sensor, a color temperature sensor, an infrared (IR) blaster, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security measures. On the other hand, the Vivo V70 does not have an IR blaster but includes a gyroscope instead. The Vivo V70 series is compatible with 5G and 4G LTE networks, as well as featuring a USB Type-C port, NFC, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC for different connectivity options.
